AMSTERDAM LIFE | LATE NIGHT SWIM

Zomer! En hoewel ik geen vakantie heb, voelt het toch een beetje zo. Lekker buiten eten en hangen in het park met vrienden. Fijner dan dat kon het niet worden, dacht ik. Totdat we dit plekje ontdekte op Java eiland! Een goed bewaard geheim (oke, er we waren niet helemaal alleen..;-)) in Amsterdam oost, waar het water schoon genoeg is om in te zwemmen en de gemeente het BBQ'en nog niet heeft verboden. Top. De perfecte plek om nog even stiekem net te doen alsof je op vakantie bent. En ja.. ik ging voor een late night swim! ;-)

Translation: It is Summer in Amsterdam! And although my holiday has already passed, I still feel like I am on one a little. Having dinner in the park and hanging around with friends: it could not get any better. At least, that was what I thought, until we discovered this place in the east of Amsterdam. The water is clean enough to swim in and one can still roast some dinner on the BBQ here. (yes, that is usually illegal in Amsterdam) Perfect. The perfect place to pretend you are still on a holiday. And yes.. I sure did go for that late night swim! ;-)
