Inspiration | How to start an arm party?

Eén van de leukste dingen aan bloggen vind ik misschien wel het leren kennen van de blogger slang: Nieuwe uitdrukkingen, waarvan iedere fashionista (daar heb je er al één)

 precies weet wat ermee bedoeld wordt. Mijn persoonlijke favoriet is de arm party: een opeenstapeling van een grote hoeveelheid armbanden, liefst vergezeld door een klassiek horloge, aan één arm. Hoe meer armbanden, hoe beter het feest. Overzichtelijk toch?

Maar hoe zorg je nou dat jouw feest er één wordt waar nog dagen, weken of misschien wel jaren over wordt nagepraat? Lastig, vind ik ook zelf. Zeker als je nog niet in het bezit bent van een must have Hermes (te herkennen op het feest aan de opzichtige H) of een Fashionology shark tooth?

Ik ben er duidelijk nog niet helemaal uit (zie foto 1), maar zodra ik tevreden ben over de sfeer op mijn feest zal ik het jullie laten weten. In de tussentijd heb ik hier voor jullie alvast wat plaatjes van geslaagde feestjes gepost. Nog even oefenen en hopen dat Iris Apfel, the mother of all arm parties, trots op mij kan zijn in de toekomst!

Translation: One of the best things of blogging is getting to know the blogger slang. New expressions of which the meaning is clear to all fashionistas. My personal favorite is the arm party: a stack of bracelets, preferably accompanied by a classic watch, worn om one arm. The more bracelets, the better the party. Easy right?

But how to ensure that your party is the best party ever? That proofs to be very difficult actually. Especially when you are not yet the owner of the must have Hermes (to be identified at the party by the big H) bracelet or a Fashionology shark tooth?

I clearly have not figured it out yet (proof is in picture 1), but I will definitely let you know when I have. In the meantime, I leave you with some pictures of pretty amazing parties. I can only hope that Iris Apfel, the mother of all arm parties, can be proud of me one day.
