HOTSPOT | POP-UP STORE JAN EEF

Yes, it is Friday and that means that it is time for a place you should definitely visit to smell and taste its atmosphere. In other words: a true Amsterdam hotspot! As I just moved from the east side to the west side of Amsterdam I thought I would show you one of the lovely places here where you can have coffee, get inspired by art, take home a unique piece of interior design and gaze at amazing accessories all together. Ever since I moved here, I can not help but visit the pop-up store at the Jan Evertsenstraat every once in a while. I actually do not know how pop-up the store really is, as it has been there for a while now, but I would not mind if they would decide to make it a permanent store. 

Why?

Well, the pop-up store is just a typical expression of our time. It is urban, vintage, has a cosmopolitan feel and is everything young people like to identify themselves with. 

Furthermore, their biological wines are amazing and their coffee bar is a great place to hang out on a rainy sunday. Their art collection is diverse and mostly a mix of photography and paintings. I did not end up buying a painting or photograph though, but took some iron framed feathers home with me. 

Who?

Like I said, the place is a favorite hang out of Amsterdam West's young influentials. Low key, stylish, critical, social and open minded.

Affordable?

That depends on what you are planning to buy. The bar is reasonably priced, but a vintage industrial lamp might be too much for you and I to handle.
